The giraffe is not as tall as the tree silhouetted in the background nor as tall as the clouds framing the sky, but the giraffe is tall enough to see the world from a high perspective and possibly share some observations about the world as seen from his viewpoint.
A Thought: We must be aware that there are a lot of happenings around us in this world. All kinds of happenings are occurring as we live our lives and as life relentlessly happens to us every day. Therefore, everybody needs to start writing poems to keep a record about all of these happenings, before it is all over and in the past, and nobody remembers what happened.
Biography: Richard Nannariello was born in 1933 and was raised in White Plains, New York; attended St. John’s University on a scholarship; served in the Army for two years, mostly in Korea; worked for forty years in Information Technology; spent over thirty years at the Readers Digest in New York; resides in Florida since 1999. A lifelong and continuing interest in writing became a bucket list career after retirement 1995. Writing genres includes full length plays, one act plays, movie screenplays, short stories, songwriting, musicals, poetry, and most recently a collaborative ancestry memoir for his Mother and Father celebrating their Italian American heritage.
